An expert from British Gas has shared a clever tip to heat your home without using your central heating system.
Jessica Rawstron, a smart energy engineer, recommends leaving your oven door open after cooking to make use of the remaining heat escaping from the appliance.
Rawstron suggests, “After taking out your meal from the oven, instead of closing the door immediately, keep it open to allow the heat to gradually warm up your kitchen.
“This method not only helps in keeping your house cozy while you eat but also ensures safety by keeping children and pets away from the oven door.”
British Gas has also provided tips on winter home preparation, such as sealing gaps around windows and doors to prevent draughts.
