A bodybuilder from Brazil known as the real-life Popeye has sadly passed away at the age of 55. Arlindo de Souza, famous for his massive 29-inch biceps, reportedly died from multiple organ failure.
It was widely publicized that he achieved his extraordinary muscle size by using synthol, a risky concoction of mineral oil and alcohol. While synthol does not enhance muscle strength, it can lead to severe consequences despite significant muscle growth.
Arlindo experienced the dangers firsthand when his friend, Pulinho, died after injecting himself with the substance. Reflecting on the tragedy, Arlindo warned against using synthol, acknowledging the tragic loss of his friend.
In a similar vein, other bodybuilders, including Kirill Tereshin from Russia, faced grim outcomes after injecting synthol into their bodies. Kirill, also known as the Russian Popeye, reportedly faces the possibility of a double amputation due to the severe damage caused by years of synthol injections.
Despite warnings from medical professionals, some bodybuilders continued to use synthol to enhance their appearance. Gregg Valentino, for instance, resorted to synthol injections to amplify his muscle size, leading to a catastrophic incident where his bicep exploded due to an infection.
Tragically, another Brazilian bodybuilder, Valdir Segato, passed away at the age of 55 due to a heart attack, attributed to his use of synthol injections for extreme aesthetic purposes. Before his untimely death, Valdir amassed a significant following on social media platforms.
These cases serve as cautionary tales about the dangers of using synthol and highlight the importance of prioritizing health and safety in pursuit of physical enhancement.
