Sainsbury’s larger stores in England and Wales usually open between 7am and 8am and close around 10pm and 11pm on weekdays, with shorter Sunday hours of 10am to 4pm. However, on the bank holiday Monday, Sainsbury’s larger stores plan to open between 7am and 8am and close at 8pm, while Scottish stores will maintain regular hours.

Most larger Morrisons stores in England and Wales typically open at 6 or 7am and close at 10pm on weekdays, with Sunday hours of 10am to 4pm. On August 25, the majority of larger Morrisons stores will close at 8pm. In Scotland, stores will operate as usual on that day.

For this bank holiday, most larger Asda stores in England and Wales will open from 8am to 10pm, with some closing slightly earlier on Saturday night. Asda Express stores usually operate 24/7, including Sundays and bank holidays.

Aldi has confirmed an earlier closing time of 8pm on the bank holiday, with Scottish stores maintaining their normal hours. Lidl branches have varying opening times, with some opening at 8am and closing at 10pm.
