Apple has rolled out a crucial update for new iPhone users to address an issue hindering wireless charging on some devices. Only a small number of users have been affected by this problem, but it is recommended for all users to ensure their devices are up to date.
The affected devices include the iPhone 17 range, comprising the Pro and Pro Max models, as well as the iPhone Air. Apple stated that the update resolves a charging issue that occurs when the battery is nearly drained.
To update your device, navigate to Settings, tap on General, and select Software Update. Look for iOS 26.5.1 and choose to update immediately or schedule it for a later time. Ensure you are connected to Wi-Fi or have sufficient mobile data as the update is sizable at 13.6GB.
