Noel Gallagher’s daughter, Anaïs Gallagher, recently shared the challenging feedback she received from a BBC producer upon landing a television role. Anaïs, who is a photographer and model and the eldest child of Noel Gallagher, opened up about the impact of being the daughter of a music legend on her career.
When she ventured into TV presenting and secured a position on a CBBC program, Anaïs encountered what was labeled as “nepo-baby-ism,” which refers to individuals benefiting from their parents’ success or fame.
Recounting her experience to Grazia magazine, Anaïs mentioned a producer cautioning her about the need to excel to avoid accusations of being favored due to her father’s influence. Despite initially resisting this notion, Anaïs eventually acknowledged the privileges afforded to her by Noel’s support.
Anaïs pursued art photography at Camberwell College of Arts, where she grappled with feelings of embarrassment regarding her background and chose not to emphasize her father’s identity. However, she now recognizes and appreciates the assistance Noel provided her, acknowledging that she was spared the need for a part-time job in her youth.
Describing her father as a “cool dad,” Anaïs contrasted him with potentially unfavorable figures, emphasizing her gratitude for his support. Born in 2000 to Noel and Meg Mathews, Anaïs has established a successful modeling career, collaborating with brands like Reebok, H&M, Dolce & Gabbana, and Accessorize.
Utilizing her photography skills, Anaïs has documented her father’s band tours and captured behind-the-scenes moments on film sets. Embracing her family’s authenticity, she values honesty over false admiration, believing it is better to be disliked for who you are than loved for a facade.
