Saudi boxing figure Turki Alalshikh is optimistic about the potential outcome of a match between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul. Jake Paul, a former YouTuber turned boxer, publicly challenged Joshua earlier this year, expressing his confidence in defeating him. Despite initial doubts about the fight materializing, recent reports suggest that a deal is being finalized for a Christmas showdown.
The scheduled clash between Joshua and Paul is set to take place on December 19 in a professional heavyweight bout. Alalshikh, closely associated with Joshua’s recent fights, hopes that Joshua can triumph over Paul and put an end to any uncertainties surrounding the matchup.
In a previous interview with Tha Boxing Voice, Alalshikh emphasized the significance of Joshua prevailing in the fight. He stated that a victory for Joshua would alleviate the concerns associated with Paul and solidify Joshua’s dominance in the boxing world.
While many boxing experts anticipate a swift victory for Joshua, some, like heavyweight contender Lawrence Okolie, believe the fight may last longer than expected. Okolie suggested that Joshua might not immediately overpower Paul but could use the fight as an opportunity to assess his opponent before making decisive moves.
Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul are scheduled to face off in Miami on December 19, just days before Christmas. The fight is anticipated to commence at 11 pm local time, catering to the American audience and potentially airing live on Netflix.
