James Martin recently shared a heartfelt message with his audience in a new video after feeling let down by this year’s National Television Awards. The popular chef’s ITV show, Saturday Morning, was nominated in the Daytime category at the NTAs, held on September 10 at The O2 Arena in London.
Although James’ culinary program was a contender alongside This Morning, Loose Women, and Scam Interceptors, This Morning emerged as the winner. In a video posted on his Instagram profile, James expressed his gratitude to his supporters for voting at the NTAs and congratulated This Morning on their victory.
Filmed in a kitchen, James, donning a striped apron, mentioned his return to “the day job” and thanked everyone for their votes. Fans quickly showed their support, with one predicting a win next year and another expressing continued admiration for James. Another fan highlighted the significance of Saturday Morning being the first cookery show to receive a nomination in the Daytime category at the NTAs.
Accompanied by his girlfriend Kim Johnson, James attended the National Television Awards, making a striking appearance on the red carpet. Following his split from long-term partner Louise Davies in 2023, James started a relationship with Kim, a personal trainer, who was previously married to Arun Nayar, Elizabeth Hurley’s ex-husband, until their separation in 2017.
Don’t miss James Martin’s Saturday Morning on ITV1 every Saturday at 9:30 AM.
