TV host Patrick Kielty has made a comeback to work after his separation from Cat Deeley. Cat, 48, and Patrick, 54, who co-parent sons Milo, seven, and James, five, recently announced their split after 13 years of marriage, emphasizing that it was an amicable decision without any third party involvement.
In a joint statement issued on July 29, the former couple confirmed their separation, stating their commitment to co-parenting and requested privacy. Patrick is resuming his role as the host of The Late Late Show on Irish television, marking the beginning of the show’s third season with his trademark humor and charm.
Excited about his return, Patrick shared on Instagram that his first guests on the show will include Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell, promoting their latest movie, “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey.” Additionally, he will interview Michael Flatley, Conor Murray, and Mary Robinson.
Amidst personal changes, Patrick has settled into a new home in Dundrum, County Down, post his move from London following the separation. Meanwhile, Cat is celebrating This Morning’s victory at the National Television Awards and her new permanent role as the show’s presenter, succeeding Holly Willoughby.
The couple first met in 2002 while hosting BBC’s Fame Academy and tied the knot in Rome in 2012. Together, they share two sons, Milo and James.
