Apple has introduced its newest lineup of iPhones. The company revealed the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air during its annual event broadcasted live from California on September 9.
Pre-orders for these models will commence at 1pm on Friday, September 12, and the devices will be available starting from Friday, September 19. Various retailers, including Sky Mobile, EE, Mobiles.co.uk, Vodafone, and Three, have confirmed that they will stock the new iPhones, but prices are yet to be disclosed.
Customers will have the option to buy the phones outright from Apple and Amazon starting Friday, September 12. The standout addition to the iPhone series is the iPhone Air, advertised as the thinnest iPhone ever. Apple has priced this model at £999 or £41.62 per month, with prices from other retailers expected to be announced soon. Interested buyers can register and pre-order through select retailers like Mobiles.co.uk, which offers a £20 Currys gift card as an incentive.
Weighing 165g and measuring a mere 5.1mm in thickness, the iPhone Air marks Apple’s first smartphone in the ‘Air’ range. It features a Grade 5 titanium frame made with 80% recycled titanium, boasting strength and elegance. The device sports a 6.5″ Super Retina XDR display with a durable Ceramic Shield, making it highly resistant to cracks and scratches compared to the iPhone 16. It runs on the latest-generation A19 Pro chip, claimed by Apple to be the fastest in any smartphone.
Customers pre-ordering the iPhone Air can enjoy a 27-hour video playback on a single charge and rapid 50% charging in just 30 minutes. The phone includes a 48MP Fusion camera system for high-resolution image capture and an 8MP Centre Stage front camera. It will ship with iOS 26 out of the box, featuring new design elements like liquid glass.
The iPhone Air offers enhanced battery life and advanced AI features such as live translation and visual intelligence. Available in storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, the phone comes in Sky Blue, Cloud White, Light Gold, and Space Black color variants.
