Fans of the popular show “Strictly Come Dancing” are urging for Thomas Skinner to be removed from the upcoming 2025 series. Skinner, known for his appearance on “The Apprentice,” abruptly exited an interview at the BBC’s Elstree Studios and took a reporter’s phone with him.

Earlier the same day, Skinner had expressed his independence and refusal to conform to expectations in a social media post. His inclusion in this year’s “Strictly Come Dancing” has stirred controversy due to his polarizing statements on Twitter, where he defended patriotism and criticized the safety of London.

Skinner’s behavior during a press event, where he objected to being recorded, left organizers and BBC executives considering his future on the show. Witnesses described his sudden outburst as unexpected and alarming. Fellow contestant Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was left to handle interviews alone after Skinner’s departure.

Outraged fans have taken to social media to demand Skinner’s removal from the show before it even begins. Many criticized his actions, calling him immature and unsuitable for the program. Skinner, on the other hand, posted a cryptic message on Twitter reaffirming his stance on staying true to his beliefs.

The controversy surrounding Skinner coincided with BBC director-general Tim Davie defending the decision to cast him on “Strictly Come Dancing.” Davie clarified that the production team sought individuals of interest for the audience without tolerating extreme views.

As the debate continues, Skinner’s future on the show remains uncertain, with fans divided over whether he should be allowed to participate in the upcoming season.
