“Person Rescued After 100ft Fall in Walton”

A person fell approximately 100 feet down an embankment and was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment. Emergency services responded to reports of the incident at Rice Lane in Walton around 9:10 pm on Saturday, September 6. The individual had fallen about 30 meters down the embankment.

By 9:45 pm, multiple emergency units, including incident response teams, ambulance cars, fire engines, paramedics, and police vehicles, were on the scene. Search and rescue teams were also seen searching the area near the Rice Lane/Breeze Hill flyover.

The victim, who was conscious and breathing, was evaluated by medics from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service. To extract the individual, metal barriers were removed, and the person was secured on a stretcher by NWAS before being transferred to the hospital using a specialized rescue system.

Merseyside Police confirmed that the incident was still under investigation, while the Fire and Rescue Service mentioned their involvement in the rescue operation. Crews concluded their operation and left the scene by 10:48 pm after successfully handling the situation.
