Luke Littler has expressed his dissatisfaction with a fan’s inappropriate behavior when the individual grabbed him while he was taking photos in Prague before the Czech Open this weekend.
The 18-year-old has arrived in Prague and is gearing up to compete against Cameron Menzies in the first round of the £30,000 tournament. Upon his hotel check-in, Littler was met by a group of fans eager to meet the darts champion and snap some pictures with him.
Although Littler initially accommodated some fans, he was displeased when one of them physically grabbed him as he tried to leave. Taking to social media, Littler vented his frustration, emphasizing the importance of asking for permission rather than resorting to physical contact.
Addressing the incident further, Littler highlighted the fan’s inappropriate actions of grabbing him from behind and criticized the individual for questioning his behavior. He stressed that such behavior was unacceptable and promptly walked away from the situation.
This incident adds to a series of challenges Littler has faced recently, including receiving negative treatment from fans. Despite previous encounters with jeering audiences in Liverpool and Munich, and facing abuse from German fans at the World Cup of Darts, Littler is contemplating a potential boycott of events in Germany in the future.
Despite these challenges, Littler is scheduled to participate in the upcoming German Darts Championship in Heidenheim next month, where a substantial prize fund of £175,000 awaits. The competition, starting on October 17 and spanning three days, will feature notable players like Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen, and Stephen Bunting.
