Benjamin Satterley, a prominent English professional wrestler known as Pac in the U.S.-based All Elite Wrestling (AEW), has passed away at the age of 40. The news of Satterley’s death was shared by AEW on social media on Sunday evening.
Although the cause of his death has not been disclosed, Satterley was seen wrestling on television the night before in a match against Andrade el Idolo in Chicago. AEW praised Satterley for his captivating performances, innovative high-flying maneuvers, and remarkable skills in the ring. They acknowledged his multiple AEW Championship wins and participation in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history. The company extended their sympathies to Satterley’s family, friends, and fans.
Hailing from Newcastle, England, Satterley kickstarted his wrestling journey in 2004 in the U.K. He made a name for himself in independent wrestling circuits worldwide, including Japan and Mexico, where fans admired his acrobatic moves and muscular physique.
Formerly known as Adrian Neville, Satterley was part of World Wrestling Entertainment from 2012 to 2018, excelling in the NXT developmental program and the cruiserweight division. In 2019, he joined AEW at its establishment, engaging in matches with top stars and securing various championships, notably the inaugural international title.
Renowned for his finishing move, the black arrow, a breathtaking dive from the top rope, Satterley earned the moniker “The man that gravity forgot.” Throughout his wrestling career, he portrayed a villainous persona named “The Bastard,” occasionally showcasing a comedic side in matches.

Satterley’s demise marks the second loss of an AEW wrestler within a month, following the passing of Andy Williams, also known as The Butcher. Williams, a guitarist for Every Time I Die, died in September after collapsing during a wrestling event in Pittsburgh. Satterley and Williams had shared a photo together on social media shortly before Williams’ death.
