Some of the migrants were children and unaccompanied minors, raising concerns from a Moroccan NGO about the risks involved in taking children on irregular migration journeys.

Spain deployed military and additional police to address the situation, while Moroccan security forces attempted to prevent further border breaches.
Amid chaotic scenes at the border, many migrants found themselves stranded in Ceuta, prompting some to return to Morocco due to lack of food and shelter. Reports indicated that some returnees faced difficulties and unexpected challenges upon their return.
