Selena Gomez, a well-known singer and actor, is facing a lawsuit from investors who allege that she engaged in fraudulent activities by not fulfilling her obligations to develop and promote her mental health startup, Wondermind Global. The investors, who contributed approximately $1.2 million US to the venture, claim that Gomez, a prominent figure in social media with over 500 million followers, was supposed to play a significant role in the company’s marketing efforts but failed to deliver on promises, such as creating a mobile app.

According to the lawsuit filed in federal court in Delaware, Gomez allegedly signed a contract committing to her responsibilities but did not follow through. The investors argue that the company, in reality, did not have any substantial operations or fulfill its basic obligations, such as paying employees and vendors on time.

A spokesperson for Gomez has not yet responded to requests for comments regarding the lawsuit. The plaintiffs contend that they were unaware of the company’s issues until a news report surfaced in September 2025, and now they are seeking to recover their investments along with legal fees.
