After a probe revealed that Nigel Farage violated the MPs’ code by failing to promptly disclose his additional income on 17 occasions last year, an overview of the earnings of all MPs has been uncovered.

Farage neglected to report income from extra jobs in a timely manner, contravening the rule that MPs must declare such earnings within 28 days. These declarations are recorded in the Register of Members Financial Interests.

An amount totaling £384,000 of Farage’s additional income was declared beyond the stipulated deadline. This sum is part of the £1.6 million Nigel Farage has amassed from his 15 sideline occupations since becoming an MP in July 2024.

In addition to his annual MP salary of £93,904, Farage’s primary income source is his role as a presenter for GP News, yielding an estimated £664,000 since his MP tenure. He also earned £415,000 as an ambassador for Direct Bullion and £180,000 from Cameo, a video messaging platform.

The latest Register of Members Financial Interests has divulged additional details on one of Rishi Sunak’s supplementary positions. His advisory role for AI company Anthropic, which he commenced in late September, has generated £373,000 for a charity he established.

Sunak has been granted 3,547 shares from Anthropic as a senior advisor, valued at £373,000, to be donated to his charity, the Richmond Project, over the next year. With an estimated 70 hours dedicated to Anthropic, Sunak’s hourly rate equates to around £5,300.

With the shares disbursed throughout the year, Rishi Sunak’s earnings from secondary jobs post-general election exceed £1.0 million, positioning him as the second-highest earning MP in Parliament.
