Motorola has introduced a strong competitor to Samsung’s dominance in global Android sales with the launch of the Motorola Edge 70 Max. This new device boasts two standout features that surpass even Samsung’s latest flagship Galaxy phones – a massive battery capacity and ultra-fast charging capability.

The Motorola Edge 70 Max houses a sizable 7,100mAh silicon-carbon battery, ensuring prolonged usage for activities like streaming, gaming, and browsing between charges. Unlike conventional lithium-ion batteries in Samsung and other smartphones, the silicon-carbon technology in the Edge Max packs more energy into a compact space, extending battery life without increasing the device’s thickness or weight.

Additionally, the Edge 70 Max supports 90W TurboPower charging, allowing for rapid replenishment of the battery when it runs low. Motorola claims that just six minutes of charging can provide enough power for a full day, surpassing Samsung’s current maximum of 60W wired charging.

Experts at DXOMARK have already recognized the impressive battery performance of the Edge 70 Max, awarding it the prestigious Gold Label for battery life and charging capabilities.

Beyond its exceptional battery features, the Motorola Edge 70 Max offers a range of flagship specifications. The device features a sharp 6.82-inch Quad HD+ (2K) display and is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, enabling smooth performance for demanding tasks and AI functionalities. A large vapour chamber cooling system helps maintain optimal temperatures during intensive usage.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the AI-powered camera system on the Edge 70 Max, led by a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 sensor, along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a dedicated macro lens for close-up shots.

The phone also boasts an aircraft-grade aluminum frame, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, water resistance, and a premium design available in Pantone Aqua Gray, Pantone Dark Shadow, and Pantone Ice Melt.

Wilkin Lee, Head of Marketing UK & Ireland at Motorola, emphasized the Edge 70 Max’s commitment to blending technology seamlessly into daily life, providing immersive visuals, powerful performance, long battery life, and responsiveness desired by gamers without compromises.

The Motorola Edge 70 Max is now available for purchase in the UK at a price of £699.99.
