In a recent incident in Poland, a six-year-old child inadvertently revealed the hiding location of their father, a 35-year-old murder suspect. The man, who was wanted by the authorities and had a prior criminal record, was discovered by the police in an apartment in Wola Krzysztoporska, a town near Łódź.
Upon arriving at the residence, officers were met by the suspect’s partner, a 33-year-old woman, who initially denied his presence. Claiming to be the only adult in the apartment apart from her child, she attempted to mislead the police. However, during the search, the child discreetly informed the officers that “Daddy is playing hide and seek,” pointing towards a sofa bed where the man was concealed.
Subsequently, the police uncovered the suspect and arrested him to serve his 15-year prison sentence. The partner may also face legal repercussions for her actions, potentially leading to a sentence of up to five years. The Regional Court in Legnica had issued the capture order, with the investigation conducted by the Głogów District Prosecutor’s Office.
Assistant Inspector Edyta Daroch from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Piotrków Trybunalski confirmed the sequence of events, highlighting the child’s pivotal role in revealing the suspect’s location. Meanwhile, in other news, a former burglar shared crucial advice on safeguarding against intruders, emphasizing the importance of caution and immediate action in such situations.
