A recent examination conducted by the Mirror of the ICE agent’s Minnesota shooting footage has unveiled significant insights into the shooting of Renee Good, which contradicts the narrative being promoted by the White House.
The footage from the Minnesota shooting, made public last night, captures the final moments of Renee Good’s life as seen from the perspective of the shooter.
This directly challenges assertions put forth by Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, stating that the mother of three was intentionally driving her car towards the ICE agent who fired the fatal shot, and that he acted in self-defense. A detailed review of the video, published by right-leaning local outlet Alpha News, clearly indicates that Ms. Good was maneuvering away from the agent who shot her. It also reveals that the agent shifted his phone to his other hand prior to drawing his weapon ten seconds later.
At the beginning of the video, the ICE agent exits his vehicle and approaches Renee Good’s maroon Honda Pilot. He walks around the front of the car, during which she can be observed turning left and reversing slightly. Good can be heard saying, “That’s fine, dude. I’m not mad at you.”
Continuing around the vehicle, the agent uses his phone to capture her license plate information. He circles the car again, while a woman believed to be Good’s wife engages in conversation with him. He switches his phone to his left hand, enabling him to film while keeping his right hand free to draw his gun.
Prior to reaching the front of her car, the agent draws his weapon, a full 10 seconds before doing so. Additional ICE agents approach the vehicle, instructing Good to exit the car, as the shooter moves around the front of her vehicle. Good, after reversing slightly, can be seen turning her steering wheel sharply to the right, with her wheels following suit. As she begins to move, the shooter opens fire through her windshield, followed by two more shots through her open side window as the car speeds away and collides with parked vehicles. A voice can be heard cursing at Good as the car drives off.
JD Vance and Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin asserted on X that the new video supports their claim that the officer acted in self-defense. However, this assertion is refuted.
“Many have been led to believe that this law enforcement officer wasn’t threatened, wasn’t under duress, and unjustly took the life of an innocent woman,” Vance stated. “The truth is his life was in danger, and he acted in self-defense.” Minnesota Mayor Jacob Frey dismissed any self-defense justification as “baseless.”
Experts in law enforcement noted that while the video did not alter their perspective on the use of force, it did raise concerns about the officer’s training. “Now that we see he was holding a gun in one hand and a cellphone in
