A 27-year-old swimsuit model, Aoi Fujino, has passed away shortly after announcing her retirement to her fans. The Japanese model, known for being listed among the 100 most well-endowed celebrities globally, made her retirement public on December 31 of the previous year.
In a heartfelt message to her supporters, she expressed her gratitude and love, asking them to remember her occasionally. Tragically, merely five days after her retirement announcement, her mother confirmed her death due to an undisclosed illness, through a statement posted on Aoi’s Instagram account.
Aoi, hailing from Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, had been diagnosed three years ago with a rare malignant tumor called Rhabdomyosarcoma, a form of soft tissue sarcoma that commonly affects children but can also occur in adults. Despite her fame for appearing in daring swimsuit and lingerie photos and videos, she put her career on hold to focus on her treatment following the diagnosis.
Although she briefly returned to work in August 2024, she took another hiatus six months later. During her battle with the illness, she continued to engage with her fans through meet and greets. Her passing prompted an outpouring of condolences from her followers on social media, with many expressing their sorrow and admiration for her strength and positivity throughout her illness.
