A new boyband, December 10, likened to ‘One Direction,’ is set to kick off their first live performances in February across various cities, including Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, London, and Dublin. The group, featured in the Netflix series “Simon Cowell: The Next Act,” expressed their enthusiasm for embarking on their upcoming mini-tour.

The band members, who recently signed a record deal with EMI/Universal Music, shared their excitement about finally taking the stage together. Despite the anticipation for their debut single, they have already impressed fans with a cover of NSYNC’s hit “Bye Bye Bye” on YouTube, garnering over 1 million views in just a few weeks.

While December 10 will be performing live together for the first time next month, each member brings a wealth of experience. For instance, Nicolas, 16, represented Portugal at Junior Eurovision, and Sean, 19, showcased his talent with the Irish National Opera in Dublin.

Additionally, Cruz, 19, showcased his skills in London’s West End portraying a young Michael Jackson in “Motown: The Musical,” and Danny, 17, was a contestant on The Voice Kids in 2023. The group’s diverse background and talents are poised to make a significant impact in the music industry.

The band’s formation was part of Simon Cowell’s quest to discover the next big boyband, culminating in the selection of the seven-member group named December 10, paying homage to the release date of the documentary that documented their journey.

Renowned music mogul Simon Cowell, known for his success with One Direction, aims to replicate that achievement with this new band. Singer-songwriter Kamille, also part of the judging panel, expressed her confidence in the group’s potential, emphasizing the immense talent they possess.

She highlighted the rigorous audition process to find the right mix of boys for the band and praised their dedication and talent. Kamille emphasized the importance of mental well-being and guidance in the industry, acting as a mentor and big sister to the band members, who range in age from 16 to 19.

The group is gearing up for their live performances with high hopes and aspirations, ready to captivate audiences with their music and stage presence. The journey of December 10 promises an exciting chapter in the music industry, with their potential to follow in the footsteps of iconic boybands like One Direction.
