Pregnant woman and unborn baby killed in Northern Ireland crash

A tragic incident resulted in the death of a pregnant woman and her unborn baby after a collision near Nutts Corner in Crumlin, Northern Ireland. The woman, identified as Cathrene Kith Quinones Singco in her 30s, passed away following a two-car accident involving a blue Ford Fiesta and a silver Skoda Superb on Moira Road on Sunday afternoon.

The pregnant woman, who was a backseat passenger, succumbed to her injuries at the hospital, while her unborn baby also did not survive the collision. A man in his 30s, another passenger in the same vehicle, sustained critical injuries, while several others suffered minor injuries during the crash.

Authorities are actively investigating the incident and seeking the public’s cooperation in providing any relevant information or dash-cam footage that could aid in the investigation. The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service responded to the scene promptly, where medical teams attended to the injured individuals.

Anyone with information regarding the collision is urged to contact the collision investigation unit. The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service confirmed that multiple patients were transported to Antrim Area Hospital and Royal Victoria Hospital for treatment following the tragic accident.
