Scottie Scheffler has now entered an elite group alongside Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy by surpassing $100 million in career earnings following a commanding victory at The American Express tournament. As the current world No.1, Scheffler has signaled his intent to challenge the reigning Masters champion for Major titles this season.
Last year, Scheffler suffered an injury to his hand during the holiday season, but he has made a strong comeback in 2026 with a stellar performance at The American Express, finishing with a six-under 66 to secure a four-shot victory and reach a total of 20 wins on the PGA Tour, all achieved in the last four years.
With his latest win, Scheffler’s on-course earnings have climbed to $101,109,136, placing him alongside Woods and McIlroy as the only players to surpass the nine-figure mark in earnings on the PGA Tour. At 29 years old, Scheffler has also joined Woods and Jack Nicklaus in achieving 20 PGA Tour titles and four majors before turning 30.
Reflecting on his achievements, Scheffler humbly acknowledged the significance of being mentioned in the same breath as golf legends like Woods and Nicklaus. Despite his rapid success, he remains focused on his game and the necessary preparations for future competitions.
Since claiming his first victory at the 2022 WM Phoenix Open, Scheffler has outpaced McIlroy with a total of 11 wins, showcasing his consistency with seven top finishes in his last 13 stroke-play events. Notably, since last March’s T-20 finish at The Players, Scheffler has maintained a remarkable streak of finishing no lower than T-8 in subsequent events.
