Bradley Walsh recently admitted to not watching his own show, “The Chase,” due to his busy filming schedule. Despite hosting the quiz show since its inception in 2009, Walsh revealed that he hasn’t tuned in for quite some time as he finishes filming late in the day.
Instead, the 65-year-old shared his enthusiasm for watching his son, Barney, on the BBC series “Casualty,” where Barney has been portraying a character since 2023. Bradley expressed his admiration for the show’s recent cinematic approach.
Barney, 28, also chimed in, mentioning that due to their filming schedules, he rarely catches “The Chase” live but enjoys watching it when he has time off. The father-son duo first collaborated on the ITV travel series “Bradley Walsh & Son: Breaking Dad” in 2019, which has since seen five additional series, with the latest airing in 2025.
Reflecting on their shared experiences, Barney reminisced about the numerous activities they have undertaken together over the years, highlighting the many memories created. While hinting at the possibility of more collaborations in the future, both Bradley and Barney are currently focused on individual projects.
Despite his busy schedule, Bradley affirmed his commitment to “The Chase” and its spin-off, “Beat The Chasers,” citing the joy of working on the show. Fans can anticipate the return of the father-son duo in the upcoming series of “Gladiators,” set to air soon.
“Gladiators” is set to make its comeback on BBC One and iPlayer on 17th January at 5.45 pm, while “The Chase” continues airing on ITV and ITVX on weekdays at 5 pm.
