Apple has introduced a striking new MacBook, the MacBook Neo, making their laptops more budget-friendly. This new model starts at £599, which is £500 cheaper than the latest M5-powered MacBook Air. Despite the lower price, the MacBook Neo maintains a premium look and feel, boasting features like an elegant aluminum design, a vibrant 13-inch Liquid Retina display, a robust 16-hour battery life, and a comfortable keyboard ideal for daily use. Buyers can select from four lively colors: Silver, Citrus, Indigo, and Blush.
To keep costs down, Apple has incorporated the A18 Pro chip, typically found in their smartphones, into the Neo. Despite this, the laptop delivers ample power for tasks such as web browsing, video editing, photo retouching, and streaming content on the go.
Sky is offering a deal that further reduces the cost by spreading it out over a contract period. The MacBook Neo is available for £12.50 per month with a SIM card including 100MB of data. The offer requires a 48-month contract and a £24 upfront payment, totaling £624 over the term, slightly more than the outright purchase price.
The £12.50 monthly rate applies to the 256GB model, which lacks a Touch ID fingerprint scanner. For the 512GB version with Touch ID, the monthly cost is £15.
Aside from Sky, the MacBook Neo is also sold by major retailers like Argos, Currys, and Amazon.
