Users of Chrome are advised to promptly check their settings and restart the browser as Google has recently patched two critical bugs in its web surfing software. These flaws, known as CVE-2026-3909 and CVE-2026-3910, were classified as zero-day vulnerabilities, indicating active exploitation by cybercriminals. Google has confirmed the existence of exploits for these bugs in the wild.

To ensure protection, users must update their Chrome browser to the latest version. To check if your browser is up to date, navigate to the Chrome menu and select “About Google Chrome.” If your version is 146.0.7680.75/76 for Windows/Mac or 146.0.7680.75 for Linux, you are safe. Otherwise, install the update immediately by clicking the “Install and Relaunch” button.

Google has rolled out the stable channel update (146.0.7680.75/76 for Windows/Mac and 146.0.7680.75 for Linux) gradually over the coming days and weeks. By staying updated, users can protect themselves from potential online attacks.
