Samsung is advising users to review their settings and ensure they are actively using specific services. The Korean tech giant is undertaking a cleanup process by removing dormant Samsung accounts. This action mirrors Google’s approach, which began deleting inactive accounts in 2023.

In a communication to Galaxy users, Samsung stated that significant changes are underway, and accounts not engaging with certain services may be deleted.

The message addressed to Samsung account users highlights the implementation of an inactive account policy to safeguard user data. Accounts that have not been accessed or utilized for 24 months will be classified as inactive and subject to deletion. Once deleted, access to the account will be restricted, and all associated data will be permanently erased.

If users discover this notification in their inbox, it indicates prolonged inactivity. To prevent potential permanent closure and data loss, prompt action is necessary by logging in to the account.

To maintain account integrity and prevent deletion, Samsung emphasizes the importance of regular activity on the account every 24 months.
