Six models of Tower air fryers are being recalled due to concerns that they may overheat and potentially ignite. These affected products were distributed by various retailers such as Argos, B&M, DID, Lidl, Poundland, Robert Dyas, Tesco, and the Tower Housewares website. The affected air fryers were produced between January 2022 and April 2023.

Consumers are urged not to use the recalled air fryers and are advised to seek a refund or replacement through the Tower Housewares website. The model number can be found on the appliance rating label located at the base of the air fryer.

A statement on the Tower Housewares website emphasizes the importance of consumer safety and announces a voluntary recall to uphold safety and quality standards for the affected air fryer models.

Additionally, a warning issued by the Office for Product Safety and Standards highlights the fire risk associated with the overheating and ignition potential of the recalled air fryers, which do not comply with the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

In a separate safety recall incident, certain versions of Citroen C3 and DS3 vehicles have been flagged due to potentially faulty Takata airbag systems. This recall affects second-generation Citroen C3s manufactured between 2009 and 2016 and first-generation DS3s produced from 2016 to 2019.

Approximately 82,000 Citroen C3 and DS3 models have been taken off the roads in France following a fatal airbag-related incident in a 2014 Citroen C3. The BBC estimates that this recall impacts around 120,000 drivers in the UK, although no faults have been reported in the UK according to Stellantis, the owner of the Citroen brand.

Stellantis has assured customers of its commitment to promptly and responsibly address the airbag issue, mobilizing its network to provide efficient solutions for affected customers.
