A visit to Home Bargains always brings a sense of excitement, similar to its competitor B&M, where you can find great deals on a variety of items. Recently, I had the chance to explore the cafe at the Warrington store, as there are no cafes yet in Greater Manchester locations. The cafe, located at Junction 9 Retail Park, has been open for a year now.
Upon arrival, the cafe was bustling with customers of all ages, making it a challenge to find a table during the school holidays. Luckily, we secured a small table, and I went to check out the menu offerings. The selection was impressive, featuring a range of sandwiches, salads, pastries, and grab-and-go items like sausage rolls priced at just 50p each.
I ordered a ham and cheese toastie for £2.75, which was a good value for the price. The tea was a steal at only £1, although the portion was small. My daughter enjoyed a vanilla milkshake for £1.99, and there were various other beverage options available at reasonable prices.
Despite initial hesitations, my daughter was pleased with her £1.99 sausage bap, especially because it came with Heinz ketchup. The overall cost of our lunch, including tea, milkshake, sandwiches, and desserts, was £9.81, which I found to be quite reasonable. The staff members were efficient and the service was commendable.
With only a few Home Bargains stores having cafes at the moment, such as the one in Speke, Liverpool, and others in the area, the popularity of the Warrington cafe indicates a potential for more cafes to open in the future. In my opinion, more cafes at Home Bargains would be a welcome addition.
