Jack Draper has parted ways with his coach of four years, James Trotman. Trotman guided Draper to three ATP Tour victories, including Indian Wells, a semi-final appearance at the 2024 US Open, and a career-high ranking of No.4 in the world.

Notably, the British tennis coach decided to step back from his role to prioritize his family commitments. Draper’s 2025 season was cut short due to an arm injury, with the British No.1 participating in only one official match post-Wimbledon, reaching the second round of the US Open before withdrawing.

In a recent development, Draper enlisted the services of Jamie Delgado, former coach of Andy Murray and Grigor Dimitrov, just nine days ago. Delgado is expected to accompany Draper on tour regularly, with initial plans to involve Trotman in the coaching team.

However, citing his responsibilities towards his young family, Trotman acknowledged his inability to meet the needs of the world No.9 while dedicating more time to his personal life. Despite this, Trotman remains a valued part of the team, with Draper expressing gratitude for his long-term coach.

Draper is scheduled to make his comeback at the UTS London event in December, with Delgado assuming the role of head coach. Delgado, who previously coached Murray for five successful years, helped the tennis star achieve significant milestones in his career, including winning Wimbledon and finishing as the world No. 1.

Additionally, Delgado coached Dimitrov for three years, during which the Bulgarian player experienced a career resurgence, winning titles and re-entering the top 10. However, Dimitrov’s unfortunate injury at Wimbledon this year led to him ending his partnership with Delgado, who now joins Draper’s coaching staff.

Draper’s team has seen further additions from Murray’s previous crew, with Shane Annun and Matt Little, Murray’s former physio and fitness coach, joining the ranks. Draper has been diligently training at the National Tennis Centre gym and recently engaged in a brief training session in the Algarve.

In other news, Sky has introduced a discounted Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the 2025/26 season, offering savings of £192 and broadcasting over 1,400 live matches, including Premier League and EFL games. Sky’s coverage will include a minimum of 215 live Premier League matches, a significant increase from previous seasons.
