Lewis Hamilton has recently submitted another communication to Ferrari’s management to emphasize his requests for modifications to the team’s operations. The seven-time world champion has faced challenges since transitioning from Mercedes to Ferrari last year.

Still adapting to his new team, Hamilton has yet to secure a podium finish and currently holds sixth place in the drivers’ standings ahead of the upcoming United States Grand Prix. He trails his teammate Charles Leclerc by 48 points.

Hamilton disclosed during the Belgium Grand Prix in July that he has been consistently sending “documents” to Ferrari throughout the season in an effort to revamp his performance and adapt to the team.

Reports from August indicated that Hamilton’s correspondences focus on proposed alterations to both the car and the team’s operational procedures, particularly enhancing communication among different departments during race weekends.

According to the Italian publication “Corriere della Sera,” Hamilton has forwarded another document to Ferrari’s top management, stressing the necessity for comprehensive changes within the team. He had expected to exert more influence on decisions at Ferrari but has instead encountered challenges in implementing his suggestions due to internal dynamics.

Hamilton’s situation at Ferrari has drawn parallels to Sebastian Vettel’s tenure from 2015 to 2020, where the four-time world champion similarly struggled to drive organizational changes within the team.

In seeking advice before joining Ferrari, Hamilton consulted Vettel in January to prepare for his new role and exchange insights with the fellow world champion.

Following an incident at the Singapore Grand Prix qualifying session this month, where Hamilton noted a need for improvement at Ferrari due to a loss of tire temperature affecting performance, he emphasized the importance of optimizing the outlap procedure to enhance competitiveness.

Formula 1 enthusiasts can enjoy live coverage of every practice, qualifying session, and race through Sky’s Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle, offering substantial savings and access to over 100 TV channels, Netflix, and Discovery+ subscriptions.
