The Radford family, known for being the parents of Britain’s largest family, faced fines for taking their children out of school for a luxurious trip to Disney World in Florida costing £52,000. Noel and Sue Radford organized the vacation to celebrate Sue’s 50th birthday in April 2025. Despite claiming financial constraints, they were fined last week for the children’s absence from school.
Hailing from Morecambe, Lancs, the couple was found guilty at Preston Magistrates Court for failing to ensure regular school attendance for four children between March 24 and May 1, 2025. Each child incurred a £65 fine plus £118 in court costs, adding £756 to the overall cost of the Florida trip.
During the holiday, the family shared snapshots on Instagram, including one with Donald Duck and Sue wearing Minnie Mouse ears holding a large drink. The lavish vacation involved expenses for flights, accommodation, and park passes for their children and 11 grandchildren.
Criticism arose as they left behind their daughter Chloe, 29, who was expecting her second child. A hiccup occurred when 24-year-old Millie Radford and her two children were stranded at the airport due to expired ESTA certificates. Noel aided them in reapplying, reuniting with the family in Florida the next day.
Sue Radford celebrated her 50th birthday on March 22, 2025, humorously referring to herself as ’49 plus one.’ Shortly after returning from the birthday trip, the family embarked on another holiday to Florida in June.
Despite earlier claims of financial strain, the Radfords spared no expenses for the April vacation. Sue and Noel, stars of Channel 5’s 22 Kids and Counting, also generate income from their business, Radford’s Pie Company.
In April, Sue and Noel not only took their children but all grandchildren to Florida, maximizing the Easter school break. The couple, parents to a large brood including Christopher, Sophie, Chloe, Jack, Daniel, Luke, Millie, Katie, James, Ellie, Aimee, Josh, Max, Tillie, Oscar, Casper, Alfie, Hallie, Phoebe, Archie, Bonnie, and Heidie, enjoyed the trip together.
