A British teenager named Bella Culley faced allegations of drug smuggling in Georgia. Culley, aged 19 and pregnant, appeared in Tbilisi City Court on June 1, where she denied charges of possessing and trafficking illegal drugs. She is currently exploring a plea deal that could lead to her release from prison upon payment of a fine.

Meanwhile, another British citizen, 79-year-old William “Billy Boy” Eastment, is accused of smuggling over 5kg of drugs into Chile and risks imprisonment if found guilty. Eastment, intercepted at Santiago Airport with a significant amount of methamphetamine, claimed he was unaware of the drugs in the suitcase he carried, having been promised a substantial sum of money for the task.

In a separate incident, Jon Collyer, Lisa Stocker, and Phineas Float were arrested in Bali for allegedly possessing nearly 1kg of cocaine concealed in their luggage. Despite facing a possible death penalty, the trio was sentenced to a one-year prison term, with a potential release by early 2026 taking into account time served.

Thomas Parker from Cumbria received a 10-month jail term in Bali for failure to report a drug-related crime involving MDMA. Parker’s cooperation and remorse led to a lighter sentence, avoiding the death penalty as the package he possessed was not directly linked to him.

Charlotte May Lee, a part-time beautician from London, was apprehended in Sri Lanka with 46kg of synthetic cannabis in her luggage, claiming innocence. She awaits formal charges in prison, with delays in the legal process.

Kimberly Hall, a 29-year-old beautician from Middlesbrough, faced charges of possessing cocaine in Chicago. Through a plea deal, she will serve a reduced sentence of four to six years, considering time served. Cameron Bradford, a 21-year-old from Hertfordshire, received a two-year suspended sentence in Germany for attempted cannabis transit and aiding international cannabis trafficking after returning from Thailand.

Overall, these cases highlight the legal consequences faced by British nationals involved in drug-related offenses abroad.
